Oh, youth—the best time of my life. They say 30 is the golden age, but 20 is the shimmery phase.
20 is a milestone we eagerly look forward to, an uncertain crossroads once we're there, and a nostalgic memory once it's gone. It's that time of life when anticipation bubbles with dreams and possibilities, but as we step into its embrace, uncertainty and overwhelm can take over.
Sometimes, it feels like it all went by so fast that I can hardly believe I'm in my 30s now. Your 20s are a whirlwind: deciding your path, making friends, graduating, finding love, going through heartbreaks, starting anew, job-hunting, traveling, quitting jobs, leaving home, and even getting married—the list goes on and on.
I truly believe it's the most beautiful, exciting, and busiest phase of anyone's life, where time seems to fly by at lightning speed.
If I had to compare this life stage to anything, it's like climbing in slow motion on a carousel slope before your twenties, during your childhood when time seemed to stretch on forever. Then suddenly, you reach the top at 20 years old, full of dreams, energy, and ambition, and the descent becomes an exhilarating free fall—both thrilling and terrifying.
And before you know it, you've crash-landed into your 30s, your speed stabilizing as your life path takes shape.
So here's my advice! Your 20s should be all about YOU. Before 20, you belong to your parents, and after 20, you may belong to your own family. It's the only true time you'll have for yourself.
Embrace this opportunity to discover who you truly are by being bold, courageous, and taking risks. Embrace failures and embrace starting over. Your 20s are all about learning, growing, and living life to the fullest, and believe me, it's all worth it.
